Paul protects garden trees

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 1st May 2007

After prompt action from Cllr Paul Goggins, an emergency Tree Preservation Order was served on land in the triangle between Hazelbury Avenue, Gallows Hill Lane and Gallows Hill.

The Order was made to protect trees from being felled in order to allow a planning application to be made on the land.

Paul said, "Residents around this site were worried that the trees on this garden land would be removed to make it easier to build here. The prompt action by Three Rivers means that nothing can happen here without the trees being taken into account".
