LibDems make clean sweep in local elections

Local Liberal Democrats are celebrating, after a clean sweep of all the seats in both Three Rivers and Abbots Langley Parish Council elections yesterday.

In Abbots Langley ward, Cllr Matthew Bedford was re-elected with an increased majority and there were similar successes for Richard Laval in Bedmond and Primrose Hill, Paul Goggins in Langleybury and Stephen Giles-Medhurst in Leavesden.

All the LibDem candidates were re-elected to Abbots Langley Parish Council.

Three Rivers LibDems retained all their seats elsewhere and also gained the final seat in Oxhey Hall from the Conservatives. The council now stands at LibDems 31, Conservative 11, Labour 6.
