Local councillors are considering plans to rebuild Hillside Hall. The hall, sited in School Mead, near Tanners Wood school, is showing signs of its age and prefab structure. Now the developers of the shops site in School Mead have suggested rebuilding the hall with flats above, at no cost to either Three Rivers or the parish council.

Cllr Keith Peutherer said, "This is an opportunity to provide a modern hall with storage facilities, not only for Hillside, but the whole Abbots Langley area".

Residents near the site will be formally consulted before any work goes ahead.
