The new play area at the Primrose Hill recreation ground was officially opened yesterday and has already become a firm favourite with local children. The equipment is of an innovative design, with much of the equipment made from recycled materials.

The playground was financed mainly with money from the Ovaltine redevelopment, with Abbots Langley Parish Council carrying out planting and fencing at the site. Members of the School Council at Kings Langley School were consulted on the new playground and their views reflected in the finished design.

Cllr Joy Mann said, "This is a super play area, with lots to do for all age groups".
