Toms Lane has finally been resurfaced, five weeks later than originally promised. There were a number of minor problems during construction, in particular when two different contractors closed both ends of the road at the same time!

Residents are generally pleased that the work has finally been carried out, but there are problems left behind by the contractors. The road surface undulates and there are already puddles forming in heavy rain. The special surface outside IPS has now been laid as promised, after a request from Cllr Joy Mann.

However problems with the drains in Toms Lane have still not been sorted out, despite the opportunity to clear and mend during the road closures. Where drains have been removed in the past, they have not been reinstated. Cllr Joy Mann will continue to demand action to end the drainage problems.
