After comments from residents of Greenways about the safety of the junction of the road with Trowley Rise and Popes Road, the local LibDem team have asked the County Council to look into improvements here.

Cllr David Major said, "I have asked officers to look at the sight lines regarding the right turn into Greenways to see if there is anything that can be done. Drivers coming from Trowley Rise into Popes Road are cutting the corner, which makes this turn even more hazardous.

"At the time the traffic calming was implemented in Trowley Rise, we looked to see if we could have an island in the middle of the road at the junction to push this traffic wide round the corner; however the traffic engineers advised that this would lead to lorries mounting the pavement in order to make the turn, so this was not done",
