The markings for this camera at an accident blackspot will be repainted, after work from the LibDem team

After several months of persistence from the LibDem team, the Conservative-run county council has finally agreed to repaint the safety camera markings in Tibbs Hill Road, near the junction with Jacketts Field. The markings were covered over when the road was resurfaced last September.

The road is a well-known local accident spot, as the road bends as it goes downhill. There have been a number of people injured, together with the demolition of several garden walls.

Cllr Matthew Bedford said, "The county council have eventually got around to repainting these markings. Hopefully this will continue to reduce the speed of traffic here, making life safer for residents and other road users".
